KALIX 6-30-30 Water-Soluble Flower Fertilizer
High-phosphorus, high-potassium nutrition for flowering and reproductive crop stages.
KALIX 6-30-30 is a fully water-soluble N-P-K fertilizer formulated for crops transitioning from vegetative growth into flowering, fruiting, and reproductive development. Its 6-30-30 analysis provides elevated phosphorus and potassium while maintaining a moderate nitrogen contribution, giving growers a practical way to shift the fertility program toward reproductive-stage nutrient demand.
With 30% Available Phosphate and 30% Soluble Potash, KALIX 6-30-30 supports plant processes associated with energy transfer, carbohydrate movement, enzyme activity, water regulation, and continued crop development. The formulation also supplies Boron, Copper, Iron, Manganese, Molybdenum, and Zinc to complement the primary macronutrient profile.
Designed for professional agriculture, greenhouse production, nurseries, soil and soilless cultivation, and compatible fertigation or foliar programs, KALIX 6-30-30 gives growers a concentrated, soluble option for building flowering-stage fertility programs around actual crop demand.
Why Use KALIX 6-30-30?
As a crop enters reproductive growth, its nutritional priorities change. Nitrogen is still required, but phosphorus and potassium take on increasingly important roles as plants allocate resources toward flowers, fruit, and other reproductive structures.
KALIX 6-30-30 provides:
- 6-30-30 N-P-K analysis formulated for flowering and reproductive growth
- 30% Available Phosphate to support energy transfer and reproductive development
- 30% Soluble Potash to support carbohydrate movement, enzyme activity, and water regulation
- 6% Total Nitrogen to maintain nitrogen nutrition without the heavy nitrogen profile of a vegetative fertilizer
- Essential micronutrients including Boron, Copper, Iron, Manganese, Molybdenum, and Zinc
- A fully water-soluble formulation for efficient mixing and application
- Flexible use in soil, soilless, greenhouse, nursery, landscaping, fertigation, and compatible foliar programs
This nutrient profile makes 6-30-30 particularly useful when growers want to increase phosphorus and potassium availability while reducing the relative emphasis on nitrogen later in the crop cycle.
Phosphorus and Potassium During Reproductive Growth
Phosphorus is involved in plant energy transfer and metabolic activity. Adequate phosphorus availability supports the energy-intensive processes associated with root activity, flowering, fruiting, and continued crop development.
Potassium performs a different but equally important set of functions. It participates in enzyme activation, carbohydrate transport, water movement, and osmotic regulation. These processes influence how efficiently the plant moves and uses resources throughout actively developing tissue.
KALIX 6-30-30 combines these two macronutrients at equal 30% levels while retaining 6% Nitrogen. This creates a useful flowering-stage fertilizer for growers developing custom fertility programs rather than relying on a high-nitrogen vegetative formula throughout the entire crop cycle.
Application Rates
Application rates should be adjusted according to crop type, growth stage, existing fertility, source water, growing media, irrigation strategy, environmental conditions, and observed crop response.
General Use
For nursery, commercial greenhouse, turf, and landscape plantings:
Apply 2–4 lb per 100 gallons of water as needed.
KALIX 6-30-30 may be used as a foliar spray, soil drench, transplant solution, or as part of a compatible fertigation program.
Constant Feeding
For constant feeding programs:
Apply 4–12 oz per 100 gallons of water.
Quick Mixing Reference
2 lb per 100 gallons of water is approximately equal to 1 oz per 3 gallons.
Application Volume Guidance
- Dilute applications: Greater than 100 gallons per acre
- Concentrate applications: 10–100 gallons per acre
- Aerial applications: 5–20 gallons per acre
Use these rates as starting-point references and adjust according to crop response and the overall fertility program.
Mixing and Handling
Begin with approximately half of the required water volume. Slowly add KALIX 6-30-30 while maintaining continuous agitation, then gradually add the remaining water.
Continue mixing until all fertilizer is completely dissolved and the solution is uniform.
Water quality and temperature can affect dissolution. Warmer water generally improves solubility and reduces mixing time. Dissolving concentrated fertilizer may temporarily lower solution temperature, so allow sufficient mixing time when preparing concentrated solutions.
Do not exceed 2 lb of KALIX 6-30-30 per gallon of final spray solution.
When combining KALIX 6-30-30 with unfamiliar fertilizers, pesticides, or other crop inputs, perform a compatibility test before preparing a full tank.
Do not combine directly with basic metal sulfates, strongly alkaline materials such as hydrated lime or lime sulfur, or spray oils. Use additional caution with copper-containing tank mixtures because increased copper solubility may increase the potential for crop sensitivity. Test unfamiliar foliar combinations on a small area before widespread application.

KALIX 6-30-30 vs. KALIX BLOOM
KALIX 6-30-30 and KALIX BLOOM are different products designed for different feeding approaches.
KALIX 6-30-30 is part of the KALIX NPK Ag Blends and is intended for growers building soil, soilless, fertigation, foliar, greenhouse, nursery, and broader agricultural fertility programs.
KALIX BLOOM is a 0-11-22 component of THE SYSTEM and is designed to be used with KALIX BASE as part of the KALIX multi-part nutrient program.
KALIX 6-30-30 should not be confused with KALIX BLOOM or treated as a replacement component within THE SYSTEM.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is 6-30-30 fertilizer used for?
A 6-30-30 fertilizer supplies moderate nitrogen with substantially higher phosphorus and potassium. KALIX 6-30-30 is intended for flowering and reproductive crop stages where increased phosphorus and potassium availability is appropriate for the fertility program.
Is KALIX 6-30-30 water soluble?
Yes. KALIX 6-30-30 is a fully water-soluble dry fertilizer designed to be dissolved in water before application.
How much KALIX 6-30-30 should I use?
For general nursery, greenhouse, turf, and landscape use, apply 2–4 lb per 100 gallons of water as needed. For constant feeding, apply 4–12 oz per 100 gallons of water. Always adjust according to crop demand and the complete fertility program.
Can KALIX 6-30-30 be used in fertigation?
Yes. It may be incorporated into compatible fertigation programs for soil and soilless crops. Consider source water, existing nutrients, irrigation equipment, and overall crop requirements before determining the final rate.
Can KALIX 6-30-30 be applied as a foliar spray?
Yes. It may be used in compatible foliar applications. Test unfamiliar combinations on a limited area before treating the entire crop.
Is KALIX 6-30-30 the same as KALIX BLOOM?
No. KALIX 6-30-30 is an NPK Ag Blend. KALIX BLOOM is a separate 0-11-22 component of THE SYSTEM used with KALIX BASE.
