Dosage & Application Rates
Warning: Do not mix KALIX Cleaner directly with organic additives or beneficial microbes in the bottle. Add to the reservoir last.
1. System Maintenance (Regular Use)

Dosage: 2 – 5 mL per gallon of nutrient solution.

Frequency: Use with every watering to prevent buildup and maintain a high-ORP root zone.
2. Severe Conditions / Shock Treatment

Dosage: 5 – 10 mL per gallon.

Use Case: Use when you see visible scale, clogged emitters, or signs of root slime. Run through the system and let sit if possible before flushing.
3. Clone/Cutting Dip

Dosage: 5 mL per gallon.

Instructions: Dip fresh cuttings into the solution for 5-10 seconds before placing them into plugs to sterilize the stem.
4. System Flush (Between Runs)

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is this just bleach?
A: No. Bleach is Sodium Hypochlorite (high pH, caustic, toxic to roots). KALIX Cleaner is Hypochlorous Acid (neutral pH, non-caustic). HOCl is actually the same molecule produced by the human immune system to fight infection. It is 100x more effective at killing pathogens than bleach but is safe to handle and safe for plants.
Q: Will it kill my beneficial microbes?
A: HOCl is an oxidizer, so it will reduce bacterial counts in the water. However, when used at the maintenance rate (2-5mL/gal), it is generally safe for established root zones where microbes have already colonized the substrate. It is best used to keep the water clean before it hits the soil.
Q: Can I use this with other nutrient lines?
A: Yes. KALIX Cleaner is the "Universal Ally." Whether you run salts, organics, or aeroponics, clean lines are essential. It is highly recommended for any grower using drip emitters (Netafim/Floraflex) to prevent clogging.
